You can do these today

These are things you already have. Photos of paper documents are fine.

Your last 3 payslips

From your employer — March, April and May

Where do I find these?

Most employers put payslips in an online portal, or email them each month. If yours are posted, a clear photo of each one works.

If you cannot find them, your payroll or HR contact can re-send them.

Bank statements — main current account

12 months. You've sent 11 — just July missing.

Nearly there
My app only shows 12 months — how do I get older ones?

In most banking apps, statements sit under Statements or Documents rather than your transaction list, and you can usually download a PDF for any month.

If it is not there, your bank can send older statements. Ask for a full statement rather than a transaction list, as it needs to show the opening and closing balance.

These take a few weeks — worth starting now

Other people have to send these to you, so the sooner you ask, the better.

Needed

Pension valuation (a "CETV")

From your pension provider · usually takes 4–6 weeks

Ask for it this week
What is this and how do I ask for it?

A CETV — Cash Equivalent Transfer Value — is a letter from your pension provider saying what your pension is worth today. It is a standard request.

Phone them, or use their online form, and say:

“I'm going through a divorce and need a Cash Equivalent Transfer Value for my pension. Could you send me one in writing, please?”

They may ask for your policy or National Insurance number. It is usually free once a year.
